Who is willing to make a wager?
Is there any bigger and brighter than Belshazzar?
Who drank fine wine and desired the golden vessels
That his father had taken out of God’s temple.
He was having a royal ball
When the writing appeared on the wall.

This world was going on its merry way
The unborn being slaughtered every day.
Men with men, women with women
The new teaching- all going to Heaven.
Is this a wake-up call?
There is writing on the wall.

Some boldly declare that God does not exist
On whom do they call when things go amiss?
Others worship gods of wood and of stone
Who for anyone’s sins cannot atone.
One day, before the God of gods they shall all fall
But for now, the writing is on the wall.

Our sweet Saviour and eternal friend
Who promised to be with us to the end
He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords
To ignore Him we cannot afford
For He is our guide and our all in all
Behold, the writing on the wall
