I know you’re itching to make this situation a DIY project,
Take matters into your own hands, do what you can to help.
I know you think you can set it straight,
When in reality, you’ll make a mess of it.

I’m not talking about tasks that involve everyday things,
I’m talking about life-altering decisions that involve major change.
Decisions that more than ever, you wish to take,
Seize the wheel yourself, and control it.

One moment, it’s, “I trust God!”
The next, it’s, “He’s taking too long.”
There is no time stamp on trust,
It simply does not expire at all.

The act of putting our lives, choices, and decisions into His hands,
Is a lifelong commitment, there should be no turning back.

He will always be sovereign,
He will always understand.
Even when you think He doesn’t know,
He will always be in command.

You’re not the first person in history,
With ideas of ways to do things yourself.
Follow the script, stick to the guide.
When He is silent, His instructions, we still can find.
