God spoke to Jonah, he disobeyed
He wanted to do things his own way
~
He boarded a boat and went to sea
In the opposite direction of where God told him to be
~
Seemed like a good plan, all was well
Until a giant storm wreaked havoc, and Jonah wished he was dead
~
There was a fish prepared by God
It swallowed Jonah, whole and all
~
In the fish’s stinky belly
Jonah realised, he needed mercy
~
He prayed and cried, and God heard his prayer
So Jonah decided, he would obey God instead
~
God spoke to the fish, and it listened to Him
It vomited Jonah onto dry land again
~
When God speaks, it’s best to listen the first time
There isn’t always a second or third try
~
Disobedience costs, alot
Sometimes by delays,
Sometimes by missing purpose,
Sometimes by giant errors
~
You never know who is counting on your obedience to God
So obey the first time, and trust that God has already worked it out
