Life is not a drive through
We don’t roll up at our convenience to the nearest store
Examine the menu selection and choose what we want
We don’t place our order at window number one
Drive a little way and our order is all done
~
We don’t very often, get the order we’ve placed
If fact, we rarely do
And when we get our answered prayer
Trials may accompany the breakthrough
~
Think of them like some hard to swallow vitamin pills
You know it will make you stronger, it really will
But it gives so much trouble to just go down
You want to get the benefits, but the route looks tough
~
Life in a nutshell:
The only time we get the drive through scenes
Is in our deepest, sweetest, most wonderful dreams
For most times, it’s un-expected road-blocks
Broken bridges, missing tracks
Pot-holes and bumps
~
It’s road closures and detours we didn’t plan
With crashes we wished to avoid
But just remember your steps are ordered from above
And a bird’s eye view is more than enough
~
So relax
GPS on
God’s got this
Even with the unexpected stops
You won’t be delayed
~
You’ll arrive at your destiny just in time,
So while on route say, “Thank You Jesus, I am alive!”
