~
There are two kinds of burdens we have to bear
The public ones that everybody sees and hears
The service we give, that they appreciate
The things we could do better, that they commentate
~
Then there are burdens of heart, soul, and mind
The kind that makes trivial, an ordinary cry
The kind only we seem to know
But Oh, the weight that burdens our soul!
~
There’s one God who can heal burdens, seen and unseen
Who can strengthen, counsel, direct and lead
Place the right people around us, and remove the ones we don’t need
Stablish us firmly, keep and seal
~
There are two types of burdens in this life
And one place for them both
The Master’s feet, where we kneel
We surrender our hearts, minds, and souls.
