Human beings were never made to be treated like carpet rugs
To be swept, to be banged, to be dusted, to be washed out
They were never made to be beaten and bruised
They were never made to be broken and mis-used

They were made to fulfil purpose and do productive things
They were made to help each other along and glorify the King
They were made to be in the image of God
They were not made to forget where they came from
~
Human beings were made to be, as in, exist and live
To grow, reproduce and churn out good things
They were made to live forever, never meant to die
Never meant to grieve, never meant to cry
~
But through a series of events
Here we are
Some things can’t be helped
Some things can’t be undone
~
But we can still live how He wants us to
And treat others the way He likes
He hurts when we speak ill of those
Who are made in His image,
Those for whom He gave His life
~
So human being,
Be who you were made to be
Live how He died for you to live
While He was on that tree
~
Read your instruction manual
Follow the treasure map
Don’t be battered or bruised,
And don’t do that to anyone either
